About
About Fundora
Fundora is an independent learning blog covering AI tools, technology, student productivity and research software.
Fundora exists for one reason: good tools and good methods should not be locked behind jargon, paywalls or hour-long videos. Every guide on this site is written to be read in minutes and used the same day — whether that is setting up a reference manager, rescuing a slow laptop, or building a study system that survives past week two.
What we publish
- Technology guides — step-by-step fixes and explainers for everyday devices and software.
- AI tool tutorials — honest, free-tier-first tours of AI assistants, search tools and study apps.
- Student resources — study systems, focus methods and organisational setups that actually stick.
- Research guides — literature searching, reference management and academic writing workflows.
How we work
We test the tools and methods we recommend, prefer free options wherever they exist, and say so plainly when a free tier is not enough. Guides are reviewed and updated when software, prices or features change. If you spot an error, we want to know — corrections are part of the publishing process, not an embarrassment.
Who writes Fundora
Fundora is written by a small editorial team of educators, researchers and technology writers. Our shared background is teaching and academic research, which is why so much of the site is devoted to study skills and research software.
About the author
Fundora was founded and is edited by Muhammad Abdullah, a PhD scholar in Chemical Engineering who writes about study tools and research software. He tests the tools he recommends and updates guides when software, prices or features change.
